ProVAL 5.0.1 Released

Download ProVAL 5.0.1

Due to a third-party software licensing issue affecting ProVAL 4 and earlier, those versions have been removed and are no longer supported. We have released ProVAL 5 with the affected component removed. Please upgrade to ProVAL 5 as soon as possible.

Editor

  • Fix: Exporting sections to a new project added the sections twice.
  • Fix: Applying a route did not update the Editor’s map Locations menu.
  • Fix: Changing the lead-in after a route has been created did not update the start coordinate for the Full section. This causes the Editor’s map Locations menu to not be updated as well as the Start and Stop Placemarks in exported maps.
  • Fix: Changing the lead-out after a route has been created did not update the stop coordinate for the Full section. This causes the Start and Stop Placemarks in exported maps to not be updated.
  • Change: If present, the existing route in a file will be available as an option when finding routes. This allows re-applying the existing route to assign coordinates to sections and events.

Analysis

  • Fix: Analyses that allow selection of individual profiles within a file now always require the profiles to use the same section. Different sections could cause a crash.

Analysis: Automated Faulting

  • Fix: The analysis failed or was incorrect when analyzing a section that did not start at the beginning of the profile.

Analysis: Profile Screener

  • Fix: Low-pass filtering detection may report a false positive.

Analysis: Smoothness Assurance

  • Fix: The fixed interval chart could show the wrong y-axis values if all data was less than the threshold. The RN chart was unaffected.

Reports

  • Fix: PDF reports could not be created if the Verdana font was corrupted.

Miscellaneous

  • The minimum required operating system is 64-bit Windows 11 23H2.
  • The IMSL library has been replaced. This may result in minor numeric differences, with no meaningful impact.
  • Stability improvements.
