RPUG 2020 Virtual Conference

The 32nd RPUG annual conference will be held virtually as webinar series, from September 15 to 16 (101 classes), and from October 13 to 15 (presentation and expert panel discussion) using the GotoWebinar platform. The 101 sessions are designed to be informative and educational in nature, allowing an industry subject matter expert to provide a guided tour on the history and practical application of a given topic. Each session will provide informative content to engage both beginner and seasoned professional webinar attendees. The second part of the program is a typical RPUG presentation on the latest hot topics. Day 3 and Day 4’s session will end with a panel discussion. The Transtec Group now offers online ProVAL pavement smoothness workshops. Sign up now for the next hands-on, virtual workshop on August 13, 2020 beginning at 10 am CDT.

The workshop will consist of two 80-minute sessions with a 20 minute break in between.

  • Session 1: Basic Profiling and IRI Analysis
  • Session 2: Advanced Topics Including Smoothness Assurance Module (SAM)

The cost to attend is $299 per person. Seats are limited!

Attendees will need to use two computer screens, one for viewing the instructions and one for running the ProVAL software. Download and install the latest ProVAL software for free before the workshop.

ProVAL is an engineering software application used to view and analyze pavement profiles. In ProVAL, users can import profiles from various file formats and save them in the Pavement Profile standard file type. Entire analysis projects can be saved, which preserves user information and analysis inputs. After analyses have been performed, the user can print a report of the original profiles and the results of any analyses performed. ProVAL has been adopted by many agencies around the world. ProVAL 3.61.34 Released

Fixed an issue that caused some projects to not be openable.

Editor

  • Fix: Exporting sections to files could cause the exported files to not be usable. A fix is also included to allow ProVAL to be able to open affected files and projects.

Various fixes. Changes are listed in the Release Notes and also provided below.

File Import

  • Fix: Texas PRO files with a letter suffix in the beginning reference marker could not be imported.

Editor

  • Fix: Crash if the lead-in and lead-out caused all of the profile to be removed.
  • Fix: Changes to the file caused the Report button to be enabled, leading to a crash if pressed.

Analysis – Profiler Certification

  • Fix: The detailed section for the PDF report was not shown for the left profiles.

Report

  • Fix: Crash if no “Open File” was pressed but no files were selected.
