ASTM E950 Profiler Certification Updated

After 10 years of editing/meetings/balloting, ASTM International’s standard for pavement profiler certification is finally updated and published. The ASTM E950-22 “Standard Test Method for Measuring the Longitudinal Profile of Traveled Surfaces” is now using the cross-correlation method that is compatible with the AASHTO R56-2018 “Standard Practice for Certification of Inertial Profiling Systems”. E950-22 goes one step further to allow any profiling technologies, except for smartphone-based ones. Agencies worldwide should update their standards that refer to ASTM E950 since there are no longer Classes 1, 2, 3 terms. Users can also use the same ProVAL Smoothness Assurance Module (PCM) for the certification analysis for both ASTM E950-22 and AASHTO R56-2018. Check out our ProVAL website for further details.

The version on the Microsoft store can be delayed due to the need to pass the Microsoft certification process.
