ProVAL
ProVAL supports the format defined by ASTM E2560, often referred to as the PPF format. The last version of ProVAL 3.61 reads and writes files using version 1.05 of the specification, E2560-17. ProVAL 4.0 reads and writes files using version 1.06 of the specification, E2560-23. This version allows the use of double-precision data and is not compatible with versions of ProVAL prior to 4.0.
We offer a command-line tool to parse a PPF file into a text file. While the tool itself does not currently validate files, the text file can be used to help determine if the PPF file was created correctly. The Microsoft .NET 8.0 Runtime is required.
ProVAL Clarity
ProVAL Clarity (Clarity) supports the PSI file format defined in AASHTO MP 47, often referred to as the PSI format. Clarity 1.0.6 supports a draft version of MP 47. Clarity 1.08 supports MP 47-24, which is the first published version.
Clarity can export transverse profiles to version 1.06 of the PPF format defined by ASTM E2560-23.
